My journey with photography started with my dad, who was rarely without his camera. Growing up, I’d watch him capture family moments and landscapes with this quiet passion. He passed away when I was 11, but my mum held onto his camera until years later, when she passed it on to me. Life took me in different directions, from working as a trainee lawyer to roles in corporate project and account management, but photography stayed a constant interest throughout.
In 2014, my first daughter was born, and with her arrival, I bought a camera of my own. Capturing those precious, fleeting moments of her early years pulled me in, and soon enough, I was taking my camera everywhere—out on hikes, exploring, and photographing landscapes around the UK, Europe and Asia.
Then, in 2022, a friend asked me to photograph her wedding. I was unsure, but that day changed everything. Right after the ceremony, confetti still floating in the air, I realised I hadn’t stopped smiling from the moment I’d arrived. I was hooked. That was the moment I knew I could turn this passion into something more, creating images that couples would treasure forever.
I’ve always been drawn to people and their stories, watching and waiting for those beautiful, authentic moments to unfold. My approach is relaxed, allowing me to capture the real story of the day without forcing it. I want each image to hold the atmosphere of the wedding, so that anyone who looks at it feels like they were there.
It sounds like a cliché, but I truly haven’t looked back. I feel a rush of excitement each time I turn up to a wedding, ready to capture the unexpected moments, the laughter, the love. For me, every wedding is a unique story waiting to be told, and I’m grateful to be the one to capture it.
